Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. in New York, NY, invites applications for a full-time Product Developer to join the design team on-site at our Midtown Manhattan office and work five days a week in the office.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in apparel product development, garment-construction knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and PLM experience. Target compensation starts at $75k depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product development with licensed product.
• Knowledge of garment construction.
• Strong Excel skills; PLM experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage fabric sample yardage WIP reports daily and inform relevant teams of changes.
• Execute and manage communication of new fabric and color mini batch inquiries; distribute seasonal color palettes.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors and overseas office on materials for development (sample yardage guidelines, fabric detail sheets, traceability).
• Help populate seasonal fabric cards for design boards.
• Distribute confirmed seasonal color palettes internally, overseas office and supply chains.
• Review sample yardage cuttings against color standards; request lab-dips as needed.
• Review invoices related to sample yardage development at season end.
• Maintain PD organization, including binders, boards, and color palette distribution.
