Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including large-scale enterprise or platform projects.
• Proven experience leading architecture and delivery across multiple teams and services.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript; API design and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure (VPC, Lambda, ECS, RDS, API Gateway) and IaC.
• Experience designing and evolving CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools and ability to mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence across teams without formal authority.
• Experience with contract-first development and API-first methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of scalable API platform solutions across products.
• Define technical strategy and roadmap for API capabilities balancing product needs with scalability.
• Establish API-first engineering practices across cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership for cross-team initiatives and align teams around platform patterns.
• Design platform capabilities enabling parallel feature development and autonomous teams.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate delivery with quality controls.
• Conduct design reviews ensuring scalability, availability, security, performance.
• Drive CI/CD, testing, observability, and DevOps automation.
• Identify risks and opportunities; address bottlenecks before they arise.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across systems.
• Use metrics to guide improvements and investment decisions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and determine impact on platform.
