Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an IT Service Delivery Manager to lead the API Platform, Developer Portal, and emerging AI Gateway. You will drive end-to-end delivery for enterprise-scale API services, partnering with product, security, and architecture teams.

You will coach engineers, champion developer experience, ensure reliability and security, and establish metrics to show platform value. The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic planning in a fast-paced financial services

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of technology experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience leading software/platform engineering teams.
Experience delivering and operating highly available enterprise platforms.
Hands-on expertise with Apigee X, policy development, traffic management, security, observability, and analytics.
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth 2.0, JWT, API security, and API governance.
Experience with developer portal technologies such as ReadMe or Apigee Developer Portal.
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure), and modern observability.
Knowledge of platform operations, incident management, capacity planning, and operational excellence.
Ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, product management, security, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead Huntington's API Gateway and Developer Portal platforms 24x7x365.
Own end-to-end technology delivery including staffing, planning, and execution.
Develop and execute the long-term strategy/roadmap for API Gateway and related platform capabilities.
Ensure availability, reliability, scalability, resiliency, and performance through automation and observability.
Own platform health, incident management, and disaster recovery preparedness.
Collaborate with architecture, product management, security, and engineering to align roadmaps.
Oversee API lifecycle: onboarding, governance, security controls, monitoring, analytics, and adoption.
Champion developer experience by making the Developer Portal enterprise destination for APIs.
Drive platform adoption through developer engagement, training, and documentation.
Partner with AI engineering teams to evolve AI Gateway capabilities and secure access to AI services.
