Job summary

Gravitee is seeking aSenior Software Engineer to build product experiences and the APIs behind them. You will turn operational data into visualizations and help customers configure and govern APIs and AI agents.

As AI Agent Management capabilities grow, you will craft interfaces for AI Gateways, MCP tooling, and agent interactions. This hands-on role spans frontend, backend, data models, and technical design in a fast-moving, global team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production backend software
• Strong Java experience and REST API design
• Strong TypeScript frontend experience with Angular
• Experience with API gateway, policy chains, and security fundamentals
• Experience with MongoDB or relational databases and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
• Hands-on with LLMs/AI coding assistants in engineering workflows
• Clear communication and collaborative problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end features from discovery to release
• Develop Gravitee API Management features across gateway runtime, API, and console
• Work on API security, rate limiting, CORS, and plugin chains
• Design and develop Java-based APIs with reactive patterns
• Build data visualizations using TypeScript/Angular and observability dashboards
• Configure and observe Gravitee AI-related capabilities (AI Gateways, MCP, A2A)
• Transform operational data to actionable insights
• Handle Level 3/4 escalations for APIM customers in US hours
• Leverage AI tools with sound engineering judgment
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across regions
