Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a Sr. Integration Architect to join the National Integration Services team. You will define enterprise-wide API management strategy and design end-to-end integration flows for synchronous and asynchronous processes.

You will implement secure patterns, enforce standards for API design and catalog discovery, and collaborate with business units to deliver scalable, reliable integrations using MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Eight+ years in software design and development, with at least four years in enterprise integration architecture, APIs, and middleware.
• Hands-on experience with API gateways and management tools like MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, Kong.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-wide technical strategy for API management, middleware, and backend integrations.
• Design end-to-end integration flows using Enterprise Integration Patterns for synchronous and asynchronous processes.
• Establish and enforce enterprise standards for API design, versioning, data privacy, security, and catalog discovery.
• Architect secure integration patterns using standard identity protocols, encryption in transit, and perimeter controls.
• Monitor and optimize high-throughput message brokers and API gateway topologies for low latency and availability.
• Collaborate with Lines of Businesses to architect, implement and support integration solutions; install/configure MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway.
