Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an Integration Engineer II to lead hands-on integration development, connecting applications and data across cloud and on-premises environments. You will work with Azure-based solutions and dynamic cross-functional teams to design scalable APIs and secure integration patterns.

The role emphasizes SDLC governance, architecture documentation, and collaboration with global teams to deliver reliable data exchanges and streamlined business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 4+ years designing and implementing integration solutions across on-prem and cloud.
• Experience with API design including RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and architectural styles.
• Hands-on with at least two integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, Workato, BizTalk).
• Experience on at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end system architecture spanning frontend, backend, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure, translating requirements into scalable Azure-based solutions.
• Define technical standards and integration design patterns to guide the development team.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, technical specs, and data mapping docs.
• Build backend services and APIs using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with Azure-based tools, leveraging enterprise integration tools.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs connecting third-party and internal systems.
• Implement API security, versioning, rate limiting, and robust error handling.
• Manage SDLC and deployment across Dev, Test, UAT, Production environments.
• Monitor integration performance and provide post-deployment support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows and ensure best practices.
• Take ownership of projects, mentor juniors, and manage stakeholder expectations.
