Job summary

Steampunk in McLean, VA is seeking an Integration Developer to design, develop, evaluate, and modify system interfaces and integrations. The role involves testing, API development, and middleware experience across cloud and on‑prem systems, with a strong emphasis on secure, scalable microservices and CI/CD releases.

You will work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements, maintain Salesforce environments, and coordinate release activities from development through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on information technology implementation experience.
• Minimum 3 years of REST API development experience.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Camel Microservices development.

Responsibilities

• Design REST APIs using the OpenAPI specification implemented on the Spring Boot and Camel stack.
• Translate business integration requirements into functional execution requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
• Release planning, management and deployment across sandbox to production environments.
• Maintain consistency between Salesforce sandbox environments through Development, QA, UAT and Production + manage deployments.
• Provide regular release reporting to stakeholders and project team.
• Resolve build problems and merge conflicts with development staff.
• Improve release processes and automation where possible.
