Job summary

NinjaTrader is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for its Evaluation Services team. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to partner engineers, guiding API integrations and solving complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Technical Account Managers, review partner code, and help shape the API roadmap while mentoring junior teammates and building internal tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with API dev and integrations.
• Experience with partner-focused platforms and cross-functional teams.
• Strong REST and WebSocket/API debugging skills with Postman/curl.
• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python for scripting.
• Able to review code with partner teams and guide architecture.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and comms skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Be the senior technical contact for partners integrating with NinjaTrader APIs.
• Work with external engineers to debug issues and accelerate time-to-production.
• Collaborate with Technical Account Managers to ensure a smooth partner experience.
• Diagnose API issues across WebSocket, REST, and real-time data feeds.
• Define API support quality standards and best practices.
• Build internal tools and utilities to improve support efficiency.
• Synthesize partner feedback into product and API roadmap recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers in troubleshooting and partner communication.
• Develop deep expertise in NinjaTrader's eval platform and API architecture.
