Job summary

Zions Bank in Utah is seeking a Senior Software Engineer---API to join the Digital Treasury Engineering & Support team. You will develop APIs to meet customer data needs and work on a cross-functional agile team delivering master data management capabilities.

You will collaborate with the API Solutions Architect and ACE/APIGEE teams, contribute to documentation, build pipelines, and help ensure secure, scalable integrations across legacy and modern systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years in API development or platform customization.
• Experience building APIs/webservices on ESB and API management platforms (ACE, Apigee).
• Familiarity with APIGEE and API orchestration platforms.
• Proficient in Spring Boot Rest API, Java, Python, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP/XML data formats.
• Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, JWE, HMAC and API security policies.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, and container tech.
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop APIs to meet the organization's needs for customer data.
• Collaborate in an agile cross-functional team delivering data management capabilities.
• Work with API Solutions Architect and ACE/ACE staff to ensure system success.
• Contribute to user documentation, specs, and API policies (Swagger, WSDL, XSD).
• Automate build pipelines and deployments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
