Job summary

Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Technology and Operations team in Midvale, UT. You will design, build, automate, and support modern solutions across front-end and back-end systems, APIs, and microservices.

Hybrid work with three in-office days, collaboration with product, IT, and customer service, and a focus on scalable, secure banking software. Bachelor's degree and 4+ years required.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of software development processes, languages (Java, C#, Python, Angular/React).
• Experience with application development using various technologies, databases, integrations, frameworks, and systems.
• Proven ability to utilize AI and automation to improve engineering processes and build solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Front-end frameworks (React/Angular) and backend languages.
• Experience designing REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Cloud SQL).
• Strong debugging and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end and back-end components of applications, ensuring cohesive end-to-end user experience.
• Develop software solutions through requirements analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
• Guide testing, configuration management, source control, and change processes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable automated testing and deployment.
• Support cloud infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and scaling.
• Design and implement APIs and microservices for scalable architecture.
• Maintain systems for optimal performance and reliability.
• Leverage automation and AI to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and IT to enhance user experience.
• Research user insights to inform design and revisions.
• Maintain test software and demos for training.
