Fleetio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Developer Enablement team. You will own the public API, webhooks, and Developer Portal, delivering reliable, well-documented APIs for customers and partners.

The role emphasizes API design, scalability, and developer experience in a remote, international setting. You will collaborate across product, design and engineering to ship high-quality features, with a strong focus on automated testing and clear documentation.

Competenze

• 5+ years experience with Ruby on Rails.
• 2+ years experience with ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining public REST APIs with auth, versioning, rate limiting, and OpenAPI.
• Experience with webhooks or event-driven systems and third-party integrations.
• Strong documentation and API design focus.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with PMs, designers and engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Plan, design, and implement improvements to Fleetio's public API, webhooks and Developer Portal.
• Engage in collaborative design and architecture of features.
• Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code.
• Develop prototypes to validate assumptions and feasibility.
• Set and uphold API standards and guide engineers across Fleetio.
• Improve developer experience with documentation, sandbox environments and tooling.
• Prepare API for AI-driven use and support integration partners.
• Participate in on-call rotation to keep APIs, webhooks, and integrations reliable.
