Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Senior Integration Developer to join our DevSecOps practice. You will build APIs and integration capabilities to connect data, services, and systems for our federal contracting clients in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with stakeholders and developers to translate requirements, design scalable integration solutions, and ensure security. Candidates should have strong cloud, API, and CI/CD experience and be able to mentor junior teammates.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
• 5+ years of experience with one or more clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• 5+ years of experience with Git SCM providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• 5+ years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages
• 5+ years of experience with one or more integrations technologies (Apache Camel, Spring Boot, JDBC)
• Experience developing API Management solutions and micro-services

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder needs and translate them for developers
• Test and review code and analyze results
• Ensure security against cyber threats
• Identify technical problems and develop fixes
• Develop APIs, micro-services and integrations
• Design reusable assets, standards, frameworks for API projects
• Advise on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring
• Translate requirements into integration interfaces and implementations
• Create technical documentation for integrations for non-technical audiences
• Document environment state, perform gap analysis, articulate options
• Mentor junior team members
• Engineer solutions and seek continuous improvement
• Present status updates and provide cross-training
