Job summary

Piston Automotive, part of the Piston Group, is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to manage AP processes, verify invoices, post payments, and support month-end closings. The role requires strong attention to detail and collaboration with purchasing and finance teams.

The candidate will prepare checks, resolve payment discrepancies, analyze vendor accounts, and contribute to process improvements across the accounts payable function.

Qualifications

• Four years of AP experience in accounting or related role.
• Experience with accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
• Experience writing business correspondence.
• Two years editing for spelling/grammar.
• Two years cross-functional communication.
• Four years presenting numerical data.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts payable checks.
• Investigate vendor payment issues.
• Process charge backs, returns, freight, and refunds.
• Answer AP/AR inquiries and follow up.
• Assist with monthly and annual closings and audits.
• Design workflows and procedures.
• Analyze vendor accounts and generate summaries.
• Support special finance projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
