Job summary

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is seeking an Accountant III to own supplier-to-payment accounting across multiple entities. You will apply sound judgment to exceptions, use data to catch problems before they reach the general ledger, and help automate finance workflows in Workday.

This senior IC role focuses on supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and process improvements, with opportunities to partner with Procurement and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of accounts payable experience with strong GAAP understanding.
• Data literacy and ability to analyze financial information in spreadsheets.
• Clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Willingness to learn Workday and related finance systems and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Process, review and approve supplier invoices and requests in Workday.
• Prepare and review supplier payments with correct entity, bank, timing and approvals.
• Post journal entries and accruals; support month-end close and reconciliations.
• Build and use Workday reports to monitor aging, exceptions and spend trends.
• Support internal/external audits with schedules and explanations.
