Job summary

National Oilwell Varco seeks an experienced Simulation Engineer to design and develop dynamic simulation models for our manufacturing facility using AnyLogic. The role focuses on modeling flexible pipe production, throughput, downtime, and bottlenecks to support optimization and capacity planning.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams across international sites, maintain models, and create dashboards. Travel to Brazil or Denmark will be required.

Qualifications

• Model complex production processes and systems.
• Translate production data into valid simulation parameters.
• Communicate results and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Develop discrete-event, continuous/rate-based, and agent-based models using AnyLogic.
• Model flexible pipe manufacturing processes, machines, buffers, and material flow.
• Simulate line speeds, material consumption, reel transfers, and storage limits.
• Analyze bottlenecks, machine utilization, WIP, throughput, and constraints.
• Create inputs, scenarios, dashboards, and reports in AnyLogic.
• Integrate with ML to iterate model behavior.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve accuracy.
