Prellis Biologics, Inc in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist for Antibody Biophysical Characterization to join the High Throughput Discovery group. You will characterize therapeutic antibody candidates using SPR and BLI platforms and support assay development across discovery campaigns.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SPR/BLI experience, ELISA screening experience, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 2+ years.
• Associate Scientist level: BS with 6+ years, or MS with 3+ years of direct industry experience.
• Hands-on SPR-based antibody characterization including kinetics, affinity, epitope binning and mapping.
• Hands-on BLI for antibody supernatant quantification and kinetics/affinity measurement.
• ELISA-based antibody screening experience.
• Ability to analyze SPR/BLI data using Biacore Insight and Octet Analysis Studio, and general data tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform SPR-based antibody characterization to assess binding kinetics and affinity.
• Perform BLI assays for supernatant quantification and affinity measurement.
• Develop and optimize SPR and BLI assays to support new projects.
• Support antigen protein QC for immunization campaigns, confirming activity and purity.
• Collaborate with lab automation systems to support high-throughput screening.
• Troubleshoot and optimize protocols to increase throughput.
• Present experimental results clearly in team meetings.
