Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security in El Segundo, California seeks an Antenna RF Engineer at Associate/Experienced or Senior level to design and deliver space-based antenna systems for multiple programs. Expect to work with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The role involves RF analyses, simulations, subsystem verification, and manufacturing support across the program lifecycle. Onsite work and U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field.
• Level 2: Typically, 2 years or more of work related experience.
• Antenna/payload RF (radio frequency) experience.
• Education/training or work experience with Antenna/payload design and characteristics.
• Experience with HFSS, CST, GRASP, MATLAB, Python, and/or LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, integrate, and review antenna and passive microwave designs, working with multiple engineering functions to meet system performance requirements.
• Develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for various antenna/payload systems – electrical/electronic systems, communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components including mechanical systems and structures.
• Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects, and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
• Define and conduct tests to validate performance of antenna/RF designs to requirements. Use analytical tools to verify the design. Specify requirements for hardware, software, models, instruments and support equipment as required to meet test objectives.
• Develop complex test plans to identify test approach, resources, schedules and cost estimates that meet applicable requirements, standards and regulations.
• Manage appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
• Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root‑cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested.
