Job summary

Matlen Silver seeks an experienced Senior Ansible Automation Platform Engineer to support a large-scale automation transformation in Charlotte, NC. The role migrates from BladeLogic to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and involves building, deploying, administering, and enhancing the platform.

You will have hands-on experience with AAP, Python and YAML scripting, and strong automation architecture knowledge.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including deployment and administration.
• Experience deploying and configuring AAP from scratch or leading a platform implementation.
• Strong understanding of automation platform architecture, design, configuration, and ongoing admin.
• Experience developing automation scripts using Python and YAML.
• Experience translating business and technical requirements into automated solutions.
• Experience supporting automation migrations, implementations, cutovers, or modernization initiatives.
• Experience with Linux administration, middleware administration, infrastructure automation, or related environments.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL in a platform or backend environment.
• Experience using Bitbucket for source control and managing automation code.
• Ability to troubleshoot platform and automation issues and collaborate across teams.
• Experience with system design or architecture and implementing platform enhancements.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, onsite in Charlotte three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support a large-scale automation transformation migrating BladeLogic to Ansible Automation Platform.
• Build, deploy, administer, and enhance the Ansible Automation Platform.
• Contribute to POC work and broader implementation ramp-up as the initiative progresses.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and technology teams to troubleshoot and optimize.
• Design and implement platform enhancements to meet evolving requirements.
