Job summary

MethodHub in Chicago, IL is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and maintain Ansible-based provisioning and configuration management. The role focuses on building scalable playbooks, roles, and workflows for reliable infrastructure automation.

You will develop Ansible playbooks, manage roles/collections, integrate REST APIs, and optimize automation workflows on-premises. Strong scripting in Python and Git-based lifecycle experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x and playbook development.
• Proficiency building roles, collections and workflow templates.
• Strong skills in configuration management and code-based infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Git/GitHub based automation lifecycles and REST API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to provision servers and middleware.
• Create and manage roles, collections, and workflows for automated deployments.
• Integrate automation with REST APIs and monitor/analyze automation performance.
