Job summary

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. seeks a Senior Ansible & Linux Automation Engineer to support Navy clients in the Carderock area of Bethesda, Maryland.

This 100% on-site role focuses on building, securing, and sustaining automation for enterprise Linux operations, patching, and compliance. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Linux admin experience, 3+ years in Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform experience.
• Experience managing AAP components and RBAC.
• Experience with automation content, playbooks, and collections.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with DISA STIG/RHEL hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience in Navy/DoD or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, upgrade, and optimize Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.x components.
• Develop reusable Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for provisioning and compliance.
• Migrate AWX/Tower workflows to containerized AAP environments.
• Integrate AAP with ServiceNow, Git/GitLab, Satellite, Splunk, and monitoring tools.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering support for RHEL 8/9 across on-prem and cloud.
• Automate DISA STIG compliance, patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Develop Python/Bash scripts to support automation and reporting.
• Support Navy DoD programs in Carderock, Bethesda, on-site.
