Job summary

Peraton in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer - Ansible to design, develop and maintain automated infrastructure solutions across multiple engagements. You will build Ansible playbooks, roles, and workflows, develop Python/Bash/PowerShell scripts, and create RESTful APIs to orchestrate workflows, all within secure environments.

You will collaborate with security, infra and services teams in an Agile setting, contribute to IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and participate in on-call

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise software dev lifecycle with automation.
• Advanced Ansible: playbooks, roles, modules and workflows.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• REST APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
• IaC, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Linux/Unix, Windows, and cloud (AWS/Azure) knowledge.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust.
• Experience in Agile / Scaled Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate high-priority tasks, services and end-to-end workflows.
• Design and maintain automation using Ansible for enterprise environments.
• Lead full SDLC from requirements to deployment and hand-over.
• Develop Python/Bash/PowerShell scripts for automation.
• Build RESTful APIs to orchestrate automation workflows.
• Create and maintain IaC with CI/CD and testing.
• Collaborate in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Follow secure coding and banking regulations; obtain security clearance.
• Document runbooks and provide production support.
• Participate in on-call rotations; stay current with automation tech.
• Contribute to governance and standards.
