Job summary

Neogen Corporation in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Senior Scientist to lead technical projects across Animal Health products, leveraging chemistry, biochemistry, and formulation science to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Services, and Commercial teams to deliver scientifically sound and commercially viable solutions throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in chemistry, formulation science, analytical science, and related disciplines.
• Experience with animal health products and veterinary formulations is preferred.
• Ability to design experiments, analyze results, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Experience authoring technical reports, protocols, and validation documents.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations and quality systems (cgmp, FDA CVM) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experimental testing to evaluate product performance and manufacturability.
• Lead technical investigations and troubleshooting for Animal Health products.
• Develop and implement product/process improvements to enhance quality and cost performance.
• Lead projects related to formulation changes, manufacturing transfers, and lifecycle management.
• Support development, scale-up, validation, and commercialization of new products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and product claims.
