Job summary

Neogen Corporation is seeking a senior technical lead to oversee maintenance, improvement, and lifecycle management of Animal Healthcare products including veterinary pharmaceuticals, supplements, and probiotics.

The role requires a strong background in chemistry, formulation science, and veterinary applications to solve complex challenges and drive commercially viable solutions across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Animal Science, or related field with minimum 8 years of industry experience; or master's with 6+ years; or PhD with 3+ years.
• Strong foundation in chemistry, formulation science, analytical science, biochemistry, or related applied discipline.
• Experience with animal health products, veterinary pharma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experimental testing to evaluate product performance, stability, quality, and manufacturability across the product lifecycle.
• Lead technical investigations and troubleshooting for Animal Health products in commercial and ongoing operations.
• Develop and implement product and process improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Lead projects related to formulation changes, raw material changes, manufacturing transfers, supplier qualifications, and continuous improvement.
• Support development, scale-up, validation, and commercialization of new products and line extensions.
• Evaluate product performance using lab studies, stability programs, analytical data, and customer feedback.
• Apply scientific principles to improve shelf life, ingredient compatibility, bioavailability, and palatability.
• Prepare and review technical reports, protocols, specifications, risk assessments, validation docs, and SOPs.
• Investigate failures, complaints, deviations, and CAPAs to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
