Prince George’s County Government is seeking a Facility Operations Manager (Administrative Specialist 2G) in the Animal Services Division, located in Upper Marlboro, MD. This management-level role involves overseeing animal care, facility operations, and policy development under the Department of The Environment.

The incumbent will assist the Associate Director, lead rounds, review medications, track budgets, and develop SOPs to improve operations and animal welfare across the county’s animal

Formación

• Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible government experience involving animal control administration, animal care and placement policies, facility management, and animal health practices.

Responsabilidades

• Provides oversight of the entire animal care and welfare program and facility operations.
• Supervises and directs staff in the care, health, and well-being of animals.
• Reviews medications used in the facility and considers best practices and cost-saving options.
• Tracks budget expenses for the division and ensures timely completion of contract requirements.
• Prepares correspondence, policy briefs, and memos for the Associate Director.
