Prince George’s County Government is seeking a Facility Operations Manager (Administrative Specialist 2G), within the Animal Services Division. The role emphasizes management of the animal care facility, policy development, and collaboration with the Associate Director to enhance health programs for the county.

This essential position involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health and welfare standards, and overseeing budgets and contracts across all areas under supervision.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in governmental activities involving animal control administration, animal care and placement policies and procedures, facility management, and animal health practices.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Manage facility operations for the Animal Control Facility and support the Associate Director in administration of the Division.
• Supervise staff involved in animal care, health, and welfare to ensure high standards.
• Develop and implement facility policies, SOPs, and standard operating procedures within the shelter.
• Monitor budget expenses and contractual obligations; ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with veterinary providers for animal health and welfare across the operation.
