Job summary

Brooklyn Arts Council is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular 19+ as part of an Agile Digital Delivery team.

You will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, engineers, and analysts to build scalable UI components, integrate with REST APIs, and deliver accessible, high-quality experiences, with a hybrid work arrangement in Vienna, VA. In-person interviews are required for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building dynamic, interactive web UIs.
• Hands-on Angular 19+ development experience.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Bootstrap or similar front-end styling frameworks.
• Experience creating accessible web solutions meeting WCAG 2.0.
• Experience with ARIA to develop accessible web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customer-facing features using Angular 19+ and modern web technologies.
• Build and maintain SPAs that consume REST APIs and web services.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, engineers, and analysts.
• Create reusable, scalable UI components and patterns.
• Ensure accessible, responsive experiences across devices.
• Write unit tests using Jest or Karma and participate in code reviews.
