Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care in Whippany, NJ is seeking a Veterinary Anesthesia Technician to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty team. You will assist veterinarians with anesthesia, monitor patients, and manage records in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Ideal candidates hold CVT/LVT/RVT credentials, have at least 2 years of clinical experience with anesthesia, and demonstrate calm communication, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to compassionate care for pets and

Competenze

• CVT/LVT/RVT credential in good standing or graduation from AVMA-accredited program with credentialing within defined period after hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary technician experience with anesthesia responsibilities in specialty/emergency/high-volume setting.
• Proficiency with IV catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and anesthetic induction across species.

Mansioni

• Pre-anesthetic assessment, plan development with veterinarians.
• Induction of anesthesia and monitoring during procedures.
• Record-keeping of anesthetic events and controlled substances.
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Support CPR and post-anesthetic recovery per RECOVER guidelines.
• Mentor technicians and staff on anesthesia protocols.
