AgileEngine is seeking an experienced Android Tech Lead in Jersey City to shape the architecture of a new Android experience and drive scalable, high-performance solutions for millions of users.

You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and guide critical technical decisions across the mobile stack, partnering with backend and design teams in a culture that values ownership and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Android development with a lead or principal role.
• Strong Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow proficiency.
• Experience defining mobile architecture for large-scale apps.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or mobile-backend integration.

Responsibilities

• Establish architectural patterns and best practices for a new Android implementation.
• Mentor and onboard engineers to minimize ramp-up time.
• Architect complex mobile solutions requiring deep knowledge of Android and networking.
• Lead mobile architecture decisions and integration strategies.
• Collaborate with Distinguished Engineers to align mobile implementation with standards.
• Oversee the implementation of the design system across the Android codebase.
