Job summary

Mason America, Inc. in Seattle is seeking an experienced Android OS Developer to integrate and optimize Mobile Device Management across custom Android builds.

You will collaborate with platform engineers, OEM partners, and security teams to ensure robust device control and policy enforcement for enterprise deployments. Hands-on work includes integrating MDM frameworks, implementing Android Enterprise features on Android 14–17, and modifying AOSP and vendor components to support advanced

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in Android system development, AOSP or embedded Android engineering.
• Strong understanding of Android framework, permissions, and security models.
• Hands-on experience with MediaTek chipsets and BSP integration.
• Proficiency with Android Enterprise APIs, DevicePolicyManager, and provisioning.
• Experience with Android 14–16 (U–W) security and provisioning changes.
• Strong debugging using ADB, logcat, and kernel logs.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C/C++ for system development.

Responsibilities

• Integrate MDM frameworks/APIs into custom Android builds for MediaTek.
• Implement Android Enterprise features: Device Owner, Profile Owner on Android 14–17.
• Modify AOSP, system services, and vendor components for MDM policies.
• Validate MDM behavior across device SKUs and Android versions.
• Develop internal tools, scripts, and testing documentation.
• Debug system-level issues related to MDM, provisioning, OTA, policy enforcement.
• Optimize performance, stability, and security for enterprise deployments.
