Robinhood is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to shape the technical direction of our Android experiences. Based in Menlo Park, you will lead ambitious projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive architecture decisions that impact millions of users.

You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and contribute to a fast-moving, high-performance culture with a strong emphasis on quality and product impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience developing Android applications at scale.
• Proficient with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK fundamentals, and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with modern Android tooling and libraries such as Retrofit, Room, and Jetpack Compose.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical direction for Android experiences across high-impact product areas, building intuitive, elegant, and reliable mobile systems.
• Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives end to end—from early product and technical strategy through architecture, implementation, experimentation, launch, and long-term evolution.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists to shape roadmaps and deliver customer and business impact.
• Establish and uphold engineering standards, architecture patterns, and development practices.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, unblock critical decisions, and elevate engineering standards.
