Job summary

ClearCaptions, LLC. seeks a Senior Software Developer – Android to design, build, deploy, and maintain apps across the Blue Devices and Applications, spanning both app and device-level integration including reboot handling and hardware listeners.

You will work in a Scrum team, tackle ANRs and memory leaks, optimize a multi-module Gradle setup, and apply Kotlin, Java, Coroutines, and RxJava within MVVM/ Clean Architecture to deliver robust software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and RxJava for complex state management.
• Hands-on with MVVM, Clean Architecture, multi-module Gradle projects, and Dagger 2.
• Experience with VoIP/SIP, real-time audio, and device hardware integrations.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Improve scalability, stability, and performance of the Android app.
• Design, build, test, and deploy libraries and systems for core infrastructure.
• Resolve ANRs and memory leaks in multi-threaded environments.
• Collaborate in a Scrum team and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Work across app and device hardware interactions including reboot handling.
