Job summary

ClearCaptions is seeking a Sr. Software Developer – Android to design, build, deploy, and maintain the Blue Devices and Applications across device and app layers. You will optimize VOIP, memory management, and multi-threaded flows while collaborating in a Scrum environment.

Required 8+ years in Android, strong Kotlin/Java skills, and deep knowledge of MVVM, Gradle, and networking. This is a 100% remote role based in the US with a compensation range of $128,000–$144,000 plus a 5% bonus.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Experience with Kotlin and Java in production Android apps.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI frameworks and architecture patterns.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and multi-threading.

Responsibilities

• Improve scalability, stability, and performance of the Android app.
• Design, build, test, and deploy new libraries and systems for core infrastructure.
• Proactively resolve ANRs and memory leaks in a multi-threaded environment.
• Maintain multi-module Gradle architecture with multiple libraries.
• Implement and debug low-level device interactions and real-time VoIP pipelines.
• Collaborate in a Scrum team within the SDLC.
