Robinhood is seeking an experienced Android leader to shape the trading mobile experience from Menlo Park. Define technical direction, drive complex initiatives end-to-end, and collaborate with product, design, backend and data science teams to deliver fast, scalable Android apps.

You will mentor engineers, establish standards, and elevate engineering quality while delivering inclusive, high-performance experiences for users.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Android experience including large-scale/mobile initiatives.
• Proficiency with Kotlin/Java and MVVM architecture patterns.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow or RxJava, and libraries like Retrofit and Room.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical direction for Android experiences across high-impact product areas, building intuitive, elegant, and reliable mobile systems.
• Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives end to end—from early strategy through architecture, implementation, launch, and evolution.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists to shape roadmaps and deliver meaningful customer impact.
• Establish and uphold engineering standards, architecture patterns, and development practices to improve quality, scalability, maintainability, and velocity.
• Mentor engineers, drive design reviews, unblock decisions, and raise the bar for execution and collaboration.
