Job summary

Kforce Inc. is seeking a Lead Android Mobile Engineer for a client project in Madison, WI.

You will design, develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and modern frameworks, delivering scalable mobile solutions that support critical customer interactions. You will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, QA, and backend developers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive architectural decisions using MVVM, Clean Architecture, or MVI patterns.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
8+ years of software engineering experience.
5+ years native Android development experience.
Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android UI frameworks.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and cloud services.
Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated deployment, and Agile.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, lifecycle, and performance optimization.
Understanding of OO design and secure app development.
Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture or MVI.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performing native Android apps in Kotlin.
Deliver scalable, secure mobile solutions for critical customer interactions.
Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Backend teams to deliver features.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and design discussions.
