Job summary

IMPACT Technology Recruiting seeks an experienced Android engineer to own app development using Java/Kotlin, with a strong emphasis on Jetpack Compose. The candidate should have a proven track record shipping apps to Google Play and working on high-traffic consumer apps.

Hybrid onsite work; 4 days per week in office with Fri remote. Expect 5+ years of Android experience and strong collaboration with Product/UX/Analytics/Backend teams.

Qualifications

5+ years professional Android development in Java and Kotlin.
Jetpack Compose experience required; KMP/Compose Multiplatform strongly preferred (other cross platform experience is a plus).
Proven track record shipping and maintaining apps on Google Play Store in production.
Experience on high-traffic, transactional, consumer-facing apps.
Git-based source control with branching strategies.
Strong communication skills — able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with Product/UX/Analytics/Backend teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Android apps using Java/Kotlin across production.
Implement Jetpack Compose-based UI and cross-platform options where applicable.
Collaborate with Product/UX/Analytics/Backend teams to ship features and improve performance.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews.
