Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Android Developer for a hybrid role in Irving, TX. The candidate will architect and lead major features for a flagship Android application, while setting standards for code quality, testing, and performance, and mentoring junior engineers.

You will work with Product, UI/UX, and backend teams to deliver scalable mobile experiences, focusing on memory, battery, and speed optimizations, with experience across the full Android lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional Android development experience with a portfolio.
• Expert Kotlin with MVVM, Clean Architecture, and unidirectional data flow.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead end-to-end design and development of major features for flagship Android app.
• Act as the primary Android technical authority across engineering.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, and performance.
• Coach and mentor junior Android engineers across the team.
