Job summary

Ditto in San Francisco seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and ship data synchronization capabilities for defense environments. You'll own architecture and delivery, with emphasis on mobile applications, Android-native integrations, and ATAK/TAK plugins.

You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and partner with product and core teams to prioritize edge integration work, ensuring reliable software under real-world operational pressure and field constraints.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including building and maintaining production applications at scale.
• 4+ years of mobile application development experience, with Android SDK, Kotlin/Java on diverse devices.

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy and delivery for edge data synchronization and plugins.
• Build Android-native integrations for tactical devices and TAK ecosystem.
• Own integration architecture between Ditto platform and TAK/ATAK systems.
• Solve real-time problems in live environments and improve reliability.
• Mentor engineers and elevate the team’s Android/TAK capabilities.
• Influence the edge integration roadmap with product and engineering leadership.
