Job summary

Ditto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and ship software that brings Ditto's edge data synchronization capabilities directly into defense tools and environments. You'll own complex, ambiguous problems end to end—from architecture and implementation through deployment—with a focus on mobile applications, plugins, and TAK/ATAK integrations that meet users where they are.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with production apps
• 4+ years of mobile development with Android SDK, Kotlin/Java
• Strong integration design: API contracts and data sync patterns
• Demonstrated technical leadership and architectural decision-making
• Track record mentoring engineers and elevating team
• Adaptable, able to navigate ambiguity and deliver under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy and delivery for edge integration work
• Build Android-native integrations and services for field devices
• Own integration architecture between Ditto and TAK ecosystem
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues on end-user devices in live environments
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and raise engineering standards
• Influence edge integration roadmap with product and leadership
