Job summary

Ditto seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Atlanta to design, build, and ship data synchronization capabilities for defense users. You’ll own complex, end-to-end problems spanning architecture, implementation, and deployment, with a focus on mobile apps, plugins, and TAK integrations.

You’ll mentor engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate with product teams to deliver reliable software under real-world conditions, balancing speed with long-term technical fidelity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience across full stack.
• 4+ years of mobile application development, Android SDK, Kotlin or Java.
• Strong integration design skills and API contract definition.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and architectural decision-making.
• Mentoring engineers through code reviews and coaching.
• Adaptable, able to navigate ambiguity and balance urgent fixes with long-term fidelity.
• Strong written and verbal communication to translate edge realities to product teams.

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy and delivery for edge integrations.
• Build Android-native integrations for field devices in challenging environments.
• Own integration architecture between Ditto's platform and the TAK ecosystem.
• Resolve complex issues in real time on end-user devices in live operations.
• Mentor and elevate the team in Android, TAK, and integration architecture.
• Influence the edge integration roadmap with product and engineering leadership.
