Job summary

Ditto Technologies, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to design, build, and ship our edge data synchronization platform into Android and TAK environments.

You will own meaningful features end-to-end — from architecture and implementation through deployment — with a focus on mobile and integration work that meets users where they are. You will translate what you learn from real-world usage into clear technical insights and product requirements, acting as a bridge between edge operations and our core

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance due to federal security requirements.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production applications.
• 2+ years of Android development, including familiarity with the Android SDK, Kotlin and/or Java.
• Prior ATAK plugin experience or deep familiarity with the TAK ecosystem.
• Strong integration design skills including defining API contracts and data synchronization patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to translate edge-case realities into actionable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Extend ATAK Plugins: Lead design, development, and field deployment of ATAK plugins that integrate the platform's synchronization capabilities.
• Build Android-native integrations: Architect and develop Android applications and services for tactical devices in disconnected, low-bandwidth environments.
• Design integration architectures: Own end-to-end integration design between the platform and TAK ecosystem with data contracts and API boundaries.
• Solve problems in real-time: Rapidly diagnose and resolve issues on end-user devices in live environments.
