Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced software engineer for the Autonomous Mobility & Delivery team in the US. You will contribute to new features and platform capabilities using AV data to drive growth on Uber's platform.

The role requires 4+ years of software engineering, strong Android experience with Java/Kotlin, and demonstrated end-to-end project leadership from inception to production deployment.

Qualifications

• BS/BE in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Extensive hands-on Android development experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects end-to-end through inception to production.
• Expertise in defining testing, monitoring, and alerting standards and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new features and platform capabilities using AV data to build innovative solutions.
• Build features to drive business growth for AV on Uber's platform.
• Lead technical projects from inception to deployment with cross-functional partners.
• Balance trade-offs between speed, performance, and quality.
• Foster engineering culture and improve velocity and quality across the team.
