Job summary

Uber is seeking a software engineer to join the Autonomous Mobility Product Engineering team in Seattle. You will contribute to new features and platform capabilities, leveraging autonomous vehicle data to build innovative solutions and drive business growth on Uber’s platform.

With 2+ years of software engineering experience and strong Android (Java/Kotlin) skills, you will lead projects end-to-end, define testing and incident-management standards, and collaborate with product managers, data

Qualifications

• BS/BE degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 2+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Hands-on Android development with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Ability to lead technical projects end-to-end through lifecycle stages.
• Experience defining testing/monitoring standards and incident management.
• Strong ownership, motivation, and collaboration skills.
• Preferred: MS or PhD in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new features and platform capabilities using AV data and insights.
• Build features to drive critical AV business growth on Uber’s platform.
• Drive technical projects from inception to production with cross-functional partners.
• Balance trade-offs between speed, performance, and quality.
• Foster engineering culture and velocity across the team.
