Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering with production Android ownership.
• Advanced Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, coroutines, and reactive state.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL, persistence, authentication, analytics, and push notifications.
• Strong testing, debugging, and telemetry-driven decision making.
• Experience shipping to Google Play and handling staged rollouts.
• Clear written and verbal communication; mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Own design and implementation of complex Android features end-to-end.
• Define technical direction for Kotlin, Jetpack, architecture, and modularization.
• Create technical designs, surface tradeoffs, risks, and migrations.
• Build accessible, responsive interfaces with product/design teams.
• Improve automated testing and observability; ensure quality.
• Collaborate with backend/platform teams on APIs and analytics.
• Mentor engineers and improve team practices without bottlenecks.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and continuous delivery improvements.
