Job summary

Gotham Technology Group is seeking an experienced Senior Anaplan Developer to design, build, and optimize Anaplan models that support our business planning processes. This role will lead the technical development of Anaplan solutions, partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, high-performing models.

The ideal candidate combines deep Anaplan platform expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to mentor junior developers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Anaplan model building experience.
• Proven experience designing and deploying complex, multi-module Anaplan models at scale.
• Strong understanding of Anaplan architecture, including sparsity management, list structures, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Anaplan integrations (Anaplan Connect, CloudWorks, REST API, ETL tools such as Informatica, Mulesoft, or Boomi).
• Solid grasp of financial planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning concepts.
• Experience with UX/dashboard design within Anaplan.
• Strong SQL skills and general data modeling knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex Anaplan models, including dashboards, modules, lists, and calculations, following best-practice modeling standards.
• Lead end-to-end solution design for new Anaplan use cases, from requirements gathering through UAT and deployment.
• Optimize existing models for performance, scalability, and maintainability (e.g., reducing model size, streamlining formulas, improving calc engine efficiency).
• Translate business requirements from FP&A, Sales, Operations, or HR stakeholders into functional and technical specifications.
• Build and manage integrations between Anaplan and source systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, data warehouses) using Anaplan Connect, CloudWorks, or APIs.
• Implement and manage security, user roles, and access controls (dynamic cell access, selective access).
• Develop and maintain UX/UI pages (dashboards) that provide intuitive experiences for end users.
• Conduct model audits and health checks; proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Document model architecture, data flows, and business logic for knowledge continuity.
• Support model governance, version control, and change management processes.
• Partner with the Anaplan Center of Excellence to establish and enforce modeling standards and best practices.
