Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Advanced Analytics to own end-to-end modeling from problem framing to deployment. You will build predictive models and translate outputs into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in statistical modeling or data science.
• Advanced, demonstrated expertise in machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
• Expert-level proficiency in R and/or Python, with strong SQL skills.
• Proven experience building production models for customer value, churn, and segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full analytical project lifecycle from problem framing to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities and align modeling with strategic objectives.
• Translate model outputs into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for executives.
• Identify data quality issues, model drift, and remediation efforts in production models.
• Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-team analytics initiatives.
• Stay current on SnowFlake, SQL, Databricks, and emerging AI/ML techniques and promote their adoption.
