Job summary

Republic Finance in Plano, TX seeks a Sr. Business Analyst for its Operations Analytics and Loss Mitigation Strategy team. You will lead analytics on loss mitigation, drive scoring and testing, and partner with operations and external partners to shape strategy.

Responsibilities include modeling, dashboards, and policy compliance, delivering insights that balance growth, risk, and profitability within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM major required; advanced degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience as an analyst in lending originations or loss mitigation.
• Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting, portfolio P&L simulation, vintage profitability tracking.
• Familiarity with loss mitigation, collections strategies, KPI forecasting.
• 1+ years of SQL and/or Python querying.
• Strong communication, presentation, leadership, initiative, and curiosity.
• Robust understanding of the consumer lending business and specialty lending operations.
• Familiarity with monthly loan-level and segment-level delinquency forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Continuously challenge and enhance loss mitigation strategies and scorecards through analysis of customer behavior data and sophisticated statistical and financial modeling.
• Maintain a rigorous performance monitoring framework and management dashboards to highlight performance trends and areas of opportunity.
• Develop best-in-class loss mitigation products that provide our consumers solutions while minimizing portfolio risk.
• Establish a robust test and learn environment for continual loss mitigation and collections strategy improvement.
• Build and maintain a robust economic framework that will serve as the foundation for business decision-making.
• Ensure loss mitigation policy remains compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain transparent communication and trust with all key stakeholders.
