Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Global HQ FinOps BI pillar. You will design, build, and operate scalable financial data solutions across FP&A.

The role collaborates with Finance, IT, and business partners to deliver analytics that drive data-driven decisions. The position is hybrid (in-office at Marlborough, MA or Maple Grove, MN) with leadership in analytics engineering, data modeling, and BI development using Snowflake, SQL, Python and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI development, or similar technical analytics role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in financial reporting or BI solutions.
• 5+ years with relational databases such as Snowflake, AWS, MS SQL, HANA, or similar.
• 5+ years using SQL and exposure to Python, VBA, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable financial data and analytics solutions.
• Develop data transformations and analytics-ready data assets using Snowflake, SQL, Python.
• Design reporting datasets and dimensional models to ensure data consistency.
• Develop dashboards and semantic models using Power BI or Tableau.
• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Identify and apply AI capabilities to improve decision-making and efficiency.
• Provide production support for data pipelines and BI solutions.
• Integrate data from Snowflake, AWS, MS SQL, SAP, HANA, and Oracle Hyperion/EPM Cloud.
• Document data definitions, transformation logic, and governance practices.
