Job summary

Kraken is building the future of open finance and seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Finance Data Eng & Analytics team. You will turn complex financial data into reliable pipelines, models, and automated reconciliations, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and ensure traceability.

You will partner with Finance and Platform Accounting to improve reporting, design automated workflows, and build dashboards that empower decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data analytics and data management experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with production code experience.
• Experience with Git, merge requests and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience building and operating pipelines with dbt, Spark, Airflow or similar tools.
• Direct experience with finance data such as reconciliations or month-end close and validation with stakeholders.
• Proven track record owning pipelines end-to-end and improving reliability.
• Excellent communication across Engineering and Finance; ability to translate tech issues to finance implications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Finance and Platform Accounting to improve reporting and decisions.
• Translate business needs into automated data and automation solutions.
• Build automated workflows for data prep, reconciliations, reporting, and follow-ups with controls.
• Create intuitive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders to monitor performance.
• Resolve finance data issues and reconciliations with cross-functional teams.
• Develop scalable pipelines to collect and curate data from internal and external sources.
• Contribute to a trusted finance data lake with clear definitions and quality checks.
• Improve data timeliness to enable near-real-time insights where valuable.
