Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Finance Data Eng & Analytics team within Data Platform. You will build trusted financial data products, automate workflows, and use AI to accelerate the close process.

You’ll turn complex financial data into reliable pipelines, models and reconciliations, with tests and traceability. The role interfaces with Finance, Engineering and Product to improve reporting and enable near real‑time insights, while driving reliability and scalable

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data analytics and data management in financial services or a regulated industry.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; production code experience.
• Experience with Git, merge requests, testing and documentation.
• Hands-on pipelines and models using dbt, Spark, Airflow.
• Direct experience with finance or accounting data, such as reconciliations and month-end close.
• Own pipelines end to end and improve reliability as systems evolve.
• Excellent communication across Engineering and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Finance and Platform Accounting to improve reporting and decision-making.
• Partner with Finance to translate business needs into data and automation solutions.
• Build automated workflows for data preparation, reconciliations, reporting and follow-ups with clear controls.
• Create intuitive dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders to understand performance.
• Resolve finance data issues and reconciliation breaks with cross-functional teams.
• Build scalable pipelines to collect, transform and curate data from internal and external systems.
• Support the design and rollout of a trusted finance data lake with quality checks.
• Explore AI-assisted automation ideas and prototype production-ready solutions for Finance.
