Job summary

Oscar Health in New York is seeking a Data Scientist I to join the Data team. This hybrid role focuses on building reliable data foundations, developing and validating analytical and statistical models, and performing data quality checks that support business decision-making.

The base pay is $119,200 to $156,450 per year, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week across NYC, LA, or Tempe offices. Collaboration across engineering and product drives impactful solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• 1+ years of experience with SQL or Python (e.g., working with multiple data sources).
• 1+ years of experience building data models and using more advanced analytics methods, including in-depth analysis beyond descriptive analytics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing, validation, and refinement of statistical or analytical models.
• Conduct advanced analytical work, including validation checks on datasets and model outputs.

Location and Work Schedule

Compensation

The base pay for this role is $119,200 to $156,450 per year.
